And so it is true after all these years… the possibility of time travel.
If there is one moment in your life that you wish you could go back to, what would it be?
The recent discovery of gravitational waves opened doors for our frail and feeble humanity to kick in. Moreso, this discovery brought us to an entirely different knowledge continuum in our endless search for answers.
In our lives, we sometimes feel some sort of gravity pulling us back to where we used to be. Whether it be in the form of our greatest regrets or our happiest memories, we just can’t seem to move forward without thinking of the almosts and what-should’ve-beens in our life. For some reason, just for us to feel alive, we pinch our hearts a little by reminiscing our yesterdays and all that comes with it…
Gravitational waves are created when large masses move suddenly, some of this space-time curvature ripples outward, spreading in much the way as ripples on the surface of an agitated pond. When two dense objects such as neutron stars or black holes orbit each other, space-time is stirred by their motion and gravitational energy ripples throughout the universe (src: space[dot]mit[dot]edu/LIGO/more[dot]html). If we apply that definition to our lives, it is simply our relationships with people falling apart and the gravitational waves it creates, of course, is felt by those surrounding us.
If we apply the same concept in our lives, I’d like to think that we are massive form of energies and that we co-exist in the same universe. The joy we find in the discovery of one another creates a harmonious rhythm that sheds light even to our darkest days. Joy Jewelers platinum bands may prove to be worthy symbols of our commitments and promises, but even that can be easily absorbed in the massive blackhole we create when we start loosing the spark that has proved us alive all throughout.
It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely something we all go through in life that sometimes makes us wish we can travel back through time and somehow change whatever we need to change because that’s what and how we simply are.
