I know this post is very untimely as the Philippines just recently experienced another calamity that tested the faith of our nation and fellowmen, but pardon me on this. I simply need to give credit where credit is due. This one’s epic, believe me!
It all started with a well written invitation by my friend, Harold.
AWESOMENESS started here! I can’t help but admire the simplicity of his writing style and the sincerity that comes with it. I appreciate invitations like this more than the usual HEY COME TO MY PARTY one liner as this, believe it or not, contributes a lot to the success of a planned gathering. And true as it is, it did make a huge difference that night! I experienced it BIG TIME!
I went there with some of my coolest friends and barkada Drei, Sharry, David, and Byron. We simply wanted to be “kids” again that night after all our crappy stories with our corporate lives. We wanted to have fun. To be free, cool, and awesome even just for a night! I gave in to the atmosphere and had too much spirit loaded into my system.
I didn’t want to do the rock star shot alone of course, so I called someone to sit in the chair and share the good stuff with me too.
The party was loud. There were beer pong tables set up just beside the pool. It was amazingly an alcohol haven and I’m pretty sure I had more than enough of the world spinning drinks. I proved that on our way home.
What made it even cooler is me meeting common faces in the party. I saw Luigi and Adi there. Friends of mine belonging to different aspects of my life. Haha! Luigi is from my technical/crush life and Adi on the other hand is part of my film/theater life. Both are friends of Harold’s friends. They’re really not connected directly to Harold, but what can I say, that’s what a ++1 rule does and a good boss me 25 at guitar center.
I will never forget this epic night! It’s my first time and my friends’ first time to see me in a state where I became totally useless and helpless. Lol!
On our way home, Drei had to pull over 5 times on the road so just I can stay alive. It’s my first time again after so many years to be in that state where alcohol takes control over my body. Suka everywhere and I simply loved it! Haha! I was in the moment. I felt infinite!
Harold is one of the coolest guy alive. I’m proud to be his friend. Awww. But seriously. 🙂 I don’t think I know someone other than him who can make announcements so good that it’s not sounding selfish enough to still push through with the fun despite the disaster our nation experienced hours prior.
I was totally wasted and basag. Totally. I wasn’t able to go home. I slept at Drei’s condo half naked. No, I mean, I was shirtless when I arrived at her place. I didn’t care anymore about what the lobby guard would say. Haha! It was crazy!
I slept on their couch. I was literally PLAKDA! Total blackout!
I woke up at around 2pm the day after. Drei showed me some videos from last night and I seriously can’t remember any that happened. I didn’t stop talking (as usual) and wala, it’s just embarrassing, but with NO REGRETS! 😛
Harold’s AWESOME BIRTHDAY PARTY was AWESOME! It’s not even because of the drinks or the people who came, but because of Harold’s awesomeness to gather people together! He simply knows how and how to work the magic around! ANG GALING! Two thumbs up for Harold! It was an epic night! Something I will surely never forget!
So friends, the next time you organize a party, remember to let the AWESOMENESS start with you! Don’t send out boring invitations! Mag EFFORT ka! Set it right, start it right, and let everything else fall into place!
See you all in the next party! 😀
